Tom Parsons is the founder and director of The Hertfordshire Guitar Orchestra. He worked initially in pop and rock music, then went on to study classical guitar with the late Oliver Hunt achieving a Performance Diploma from the London College of Music. He continued with further studies in composing and arranging also with Oliver Hunt. Subsequently, for many years he ran a successful covers band playing clubs, hotels, dinner dances and backing cabaret.
Based in Watford, he now divides his time between teaching guitar and composing and arranging for and directing The Hertfordshire Guitar Orchestra and the Guitar Project at Watford School of Music.
